I really wanted to do her portrait, she had a so noble countenance.
But, she was a reserved lady. During all the session, I felt her uncomfortable. So I didn't feel so much at ease either...
Then in the end, understanding that I couldn't break the ice, I ended up to paint symbolically a snowmelt as if we were separated by a window pane.
That's why there is a mirroring signature lower right.
Finally this portrait shows her as she is: hided but present. And that is the essential intention of a work of art.
This portrait was painted in a couple of hours.
